Yesterday (Monday), I worked from 9am to 8pm (classes from 9-6, then a 2-hour staff meeting).
Today I have a similar schedule: classes from 9 to 7 then phone teaching (which is basically just calling your older elementary grade students and asking them questions over the phone) from 7-8pm).
Tomorrow is back to the 9-5 schedule, but man, these 12-hour days get to you. Especially when your at it non-stop trying to both educate and entertain children. Holding the attention of a 5 year old who doesn't really speak your language is harder than it sounds.

That's weird. I think when I told you about my own teaching experience, I described it as more of a "cake walk", right?
He, he... Just kidding. I feel your pain.
Ya, 12 hour days are rough...At least I don't have any entertaining to do, just some life saving here and there :)
Miss you! I will post more pictures soon, we starting living there this weekend, the kitchen is pretty much finished, and we are getting central heat and air today!! Woo0-hoo!
is it extra hard since you also have the attention span of a 5 year old?
Hello! My name is Emily, and I'm a 23 year old from Michigan considering taking a job at LCI within the month... I googled the school's name and your blog came up. Would you recommend working there? I know you haven't been there long, but in general, are you finding the school to be a good institution to work for?
My email address is doerr.emily@gmail.com if you want to respond - thank you!
